About the Band

The Golden Eagle Community Band of Burlington County, NJ is the premier all-volunteer community band in South Jersey. We have an active membership of approximately 65 members, who vary in age from teens to mid-eighties. We offer amateur and semi-professional adult musicians in the Delaware Valley the opportunity to continue or revive their musical enjoyment following high school, college, or military bands. Membership in the band is open to all.

The band was formed in 1972 as a group of high school musicians and alumni to play in local parades. The band started playing concerts two years later, and 1975 marked the beginning of our annual Burlington County Concert Series. Today, the band performs 10-12 concerts (indoors and outdoors) each year.

The band presents familiar music that appeals to a wide variety of tastes. Styles have included, but not limited to, Big Band, contemporary Jazz, Pop and Rock through the decades, Stage and Screen, Patriotic and Americana. We've played music from Tchaikovsky and Bach to John Williams, George Gershwin, John Philip Sousa, Queen, Michael Jackson, Leroy Anderson, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Richard Rodgers, and many more.
